Gazette column: Cycle paths ultimately save our kids, not harm them

It’s “Thursday Thoughts” where I post my weekly Gazette newspaper column to my blog so you can have a read…

This week my column for the Gloucestershire Gazette is about cycle paths and how, introducing more of them, especially through housing estates, will save our kids ultimately, not harm them. To read it, simply click to my Column page.

What do you think? Let me know.

**Look out for  Wednesday Wafflings next, well, Wednesday, where I post the latest entry in My Diary of a Hopeful Author**

  1. You only have to look at the Dutch model and see the way in which cycle paths are built into both urban and rural areas. It also requires everyone to be educated in the use of cycle paths, they are effectively roads, rules and common sense have to be applied for their safe use. Cycling on the path is not the answer, there is too much conflict but dedicated routes are.
